When you’re booking a Glow Retreat with us, you don’t need to worry about being left on your own to figure out the details, we’ll ensure that every part of your trip runs smoothly and we are always on hand to answer your questions. But we also know that a lot of people like to do their own research before they think about booking a retreat, so consider this step one in your journey to Lefkada…

Lefkada, a picturesque Greek island in the Ionian Sea, is the home to our June Glow Retreat, and the perfect spot from which to explore the stunning Greek coastline. Getting to Lefkada in June from the UK or Europe is really easy! You can either get a direct flight from most major cities or - if you are looking for adventure - you can use a combination of flights, ferries, and ground transportation. But with a bit of planning, the journey is seamless. Lefkada really is a magical place, and the journey to reach it could all a part of the experience.

Are there flights to Lefkada from the UK?

One of the most convenient options is to fly to Preveza (Aktion) Airport, which is located just 20 kilometres from Lefkada and our retreat. From around April to November, there are super regular chartered flights from the UK to Preveza, making it a direct route to the island.

Which airlines fly from London to Preveza?

Airlines that fly from the UK to Preveza include EasyJet and British Airways

Getting from Preveza to Lefkada

From the airport, most visitors opt to hire a car in order to explore all that the island has to offer, though taxis and buses are also available. We will support you with your arrival transfer.

Other ways to reach Lefkada

If you're unable to find a direct flight to Preveza (or you don't want to!), another option is to fly to Athens or Thessaloniki, which have more frequent international connections from the UK. From there, you can take a KTEL bus, which takes approximately 5 hours to reach Lefkada.

Alternatively, you can take a ferry to Lefkada. A popular option for travelling around Greece and its neighbouring countries, ferries depart from various ports in Italy, such as Ancona, Bari, and Venice, and arrive at the ports of Igoumenitsa or Patras in Greece. From there, you can either drive or take a bus to Lefkada.

Another route worth considering is travelling through Corfu, Kefalonia, or Zakynthos (Zante), which have airports with frequent chartered flights from the UK. From these islands, you can take a ferry to the ports of Nidri or Vassiliki in Lefkada. Island hopping at its best!

Consider taking the slow route to Lefkada, and use it as your first step in slowing down as you rest and recharge with us on the Glow Retreat on this beautiful, magical Greek Island paradise.
